
An unconventional musical act composed of former U.S. GIs in Germany, the Monks were active for a few years in the sixties before Polydor records spoiled the party by demanding a more traditional sound. Bassist Eddie Shaw exchanged emails with Zack Kopp recently regarding the band’s bizarro twinship with their unlike contemporaries, The Beatles.
